American River Montessori organizes both one-time and recurring events for our Preschool and Kindergarten families, for our friends and neighbors, and for the general public. We believe that a well-rounded education and a strong sense of community are both served by regularly getting together to show our appreciation for one another and to have some fun!

Currently planned events include:

Welcome Back BBQ

Join us at Nisenan Community Park to kick off the beginning of the school year and get to know the families and staff.

Parents Night Out!

Parents Night Out occurs during the evening, teachers watch the children at the school while parents have adult time!

Halloween Party

Join us at American River Montessori to celebrate Halloween. We’ll dress up, do arts & crafts, and hit a pinata.

Day of the Dead

Join us to celebrate the Day of the Dead and learn more about this tradition.

Valentine’s Day Party

Join us at American River Montessori to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We will be doing arts & crafts and decorating cookies.

Easter Egg Hunt

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt at the school play yard.

Mother’s Day Tea

To appreciate all of the mothers in our community, we will be hosting a tea party.

Field trips

Following our students’ interests, we organize field trips (with families and staff) to different locations. We have visited the Museum of Science and Curiosity, Community Observatory, etc.

Father’s Day Celebration

To appreciate all of the fathers in our community.

Preschool Graduation

A ceremony and party to celebrate our graduates.
