Musical Instruments and CDs for Young Children
American River Montessori incorporates elements from the Music Together programs into our classes and special events. Age appropriate musical instruments, CDs and other products are available from Music Together.
California Preschool Learning Foundations
American River Montessori (ARM) has been a member of Raising Quality Together for the last five years. Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) runs Raising Quality Together in order to improve the quality of private and public early education classrooms. Through this program, ARM is assessed yearly by SCOE and rated on a five point scale with 1 being the lowest score you can get in quality and 5 being the highest score you can get in quality. The last two school years (2016-2018) has received a 5 point score. Part of what ARM does in order to ensure quality for our attending children is using research based information in our teaching practices and providing the information we use to our parents. One source we use is the California Preschool Learning Foundations.
